the popular searchable integrated database of human genes, their products, relationships to
diseases, and more - and its associated website suite including GeneDecks, GeneALaCart, GeneLoc,
GeneNote, and GeneAnnot.
- Under the
auspicies of the
Crown Human Genome Center.
consulting to scientists and students on software design and development,
and coordinating systems administration and websites on the center's clusters.
- Co-developed and taught a course entitled
Object-Oriented Programming and Databases for
Bioinformatics and Internet
at the Weizmann
Institute Feinberg Graduate School.
Technical Background
MS in Computer Science, BA in Mathematics with honors, with over
30 years of experience in software engineering and software project management within the
US (Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research, M.I.T's Lincoln Laboratory, Bell
Laboratories) and Israel (The Weizmann Institute of Science, Ubique/AOL).
